This wonderful Route 66 ornament is perfect for those have traveled who love to travel our historic roads or a US history teacher. Route 66 is called the "Mother Road" or "Main Street of America" because it ran from close to Los Angeles to Chicago crossing over 7 states beginning in 1926 and was heavily traveled during the 1930's Dust Bowl days. Many small towns which became ghost towns along this historic route have since been re-vitalized and have become tourist hotspots. (Re-added 2017)

This ornaments makes a perfect gift idea for those who are enthusiast about America's Main Street or as an addition to any 1930's U.S. history or US Route 66 Christmas tree ornaments collection. Made of blown glass and hand-painted plus glittered accents.
