The Albus Family's Christmas in Prescott is a family owned and operated Christmas Store. We started with our physical store in Prescott in 2005 and opened our online store in 2009. Our website has been such a success and it was time for Donna to retire at 75 years old (well, mostly retired, she still enjoys working part-time shipping orders) that we chose to close down our physical retail store in Jan 2016 and concentrate on our online store.
We specialize in Christmas Ornaments and gifts, plus some year round gifts and decorations. We are located in the beautiful mountain community of Prescott, Az located in the center of Yavapai county in central Arizona. Arizona is located in the Southwest U.S. (between Southern California and New Mexico).
Our Story:
Eleven years ago, at an age when most people are retiring, my husband Ed and I (Donna) started a Christmas décor business. Why? Good question! We were considering different options to bring in needed retirement income. I had long dreamed of a Christmas store since it has always been a special time of year for our family. And I thought “How wonderful would it be to have Christmas all year around!”
After examining the possibility of starting this type of business, we decided to sell the Dog Grooming business we had for over 20 years and open this little Mom and Pop store. This is an excellent way to slow down and partially retire, we thought. I was 65 years old, and Ed was 70. (Continue reading .....
