This ornament includes a textured black spider design with orange markings highlighting the well-known Mexican tarantula, a large, hairy spider which is feared, thanks in part to movies, despite it (tarantulas in general) being harmless to humans (though some may have allergies of concern) and often held by the owners of pet tarantulas.  While tarantulas are found in the warmer climates throughout the world, this black and orange species is mostly found in the Sonoran Desert region of the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico.  The ornament design includes a white spider web with glittered ridges and the back is also a web design.  All sides are nicely detailed. It is made of blown glass, delicately hand-painted and has sparkly glittered accents.
