Genuine Kokopelli Hopi Kachina Ornament or decor, 5 3/8 inches. Made in the USA by Grace Pooley, an Arizona Reservation - Hopi Tribe Native American Indian Artist.
This item is handcrafted. Every attempt is made to keep the coloring and items used the same on each item, however slight variations may occur. Each Hopi Kachina ornament is made from cottonwood root and decorated using only natural paints, dyes and inks. This style includes a real feather on the top. Each includes a suede string for hanging as an ornament.
KOKOPELLI: This style is called Kokopelli Katsina (Kachina), he is known as a flute player who plays this flute to bring rain and also to attract women. The Kokopelli is a fertility God. The name of the kachina (or abbreviation of the name) is hand-written on the bottom along with the artist's signature.
