This finely detailed bird ornament nicely depicts the Hairy Woodpecker. This species of woodpecker in found in North & Central America and the surrounding islands and known for their mainly black wings with white spots and white or off-white underside.  They are important to help keep insects under control to save our crops and trees from damages, especially when moths overcome crops.  All sides of this ornament are nicely detailed and correctly displays it in the upright position as they are seen when pecking on trees and other objects. It is made of blown glass, delicately hand-painted and has sparkly glittered accents.
