Bonsai is a Japanese Art form that is over 1,000 years old.  It relates to growing a tree in a planter or container with specific characteristics as depicted in this ornament.  The art takes a lot of work to achieve the desired shape and forms and there are limited specimens of trees which can accomplish this. This lovely ornament illustrates common desired results with a shiny red planter and winding small tree full of leaves. The red base and green leaves have a shiny, reflective finish.  All sides are nicely detailed. It is made of blown glass, delicately hand-painted and has sparkly glittered accents.
